リムの立ち上がり部分は麻布に木粉漆と漆を幾重にも塗り重ねて形成する乾漆技法を用いて
独自の美しいフォルムを生み出しています

Product Description
Simple in form yet rich in presence, this bowl carries a quiet strength.
Its versatility makes it ideal for a variety of dishes — simmered foods, clear soups, noodles, or rice bowls — adapting beautifully to everyday meals.
Just imagining how to plate a dish within it brings a sense of anticipation, transforming an ordinary meal into something special.
When touched by light, the refined sheen of the carefully layered wiped lacquer reveals its depth and elegance.
Built slowly over time, the surface holds a glow so captivating that one may find it difficult to look away.
The rising rim is formed using the traditional kanshitsu (dry lacquer) technique — built up through repeated layers of hemp cloth reinforced with lacquer and fine wood powder.
This meticulous process creates its distinctive and graceful silhouette.

Yuma Fukuzaki
2006 – Graduated from Osaka Municipal Crafts High School.
2010 – Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art, Department of Crafts (specializing in lacquer and woodworking).
Apprenticed under renowned lacquer artist Akito Akagi.
2020 – Became independent in Wajima, Ishikawa.
2024 – Relocated to Taka Town, Hyogo, where he established his current studio.
