リムの立ち上がり部分は麻布に木粉漆と漆を幾重にも塗り重ねて形成する乾漆技法を用いて
独自の美しいフォルムを生み出しています

Standing with quiet confidence, this bowl possesses such a commanding presence that it feels worthy of display even as an interior object.
The charming balance between its softly rounded wooden base and dramatically flared rim creates a silhouette that is both bold and endearing.
Beautifully suited to both Japanese and Western dishes — from simmered foods and pasta to mapo tofu or fresh salads — this one-of-a-kind piece enhances the meal while allowing the food itself to remain the true focus.
Simply imagining how to plate a dish within it becomes part of the enjoyment, transforming everyday meals into something special.
The rising rim is formed using the traditional kanshitsu (dry lacquer) technique — built up through repeated layers of hemp cloth reinforced with lacquer and fine wood powder.
This meticulous process gives the bowl its distinctive and graceful form.

Yuma Fukuzaki
2006 – Graduated from Osaka Municipal Crafts High School.
2010 – Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art, Department of Crafts (specializing in lacquer and woodworking).
Apprenticed under renowned lacquer artist Akito Akagi.
2020 – Became independent in Wajima, Ishikawa.
2024 – Relocated to Taka Town, Hyogo, where he established his current studio.
