2017年 滋賀県大津市に吹きガラス「glass imeca」を設立
400万年以上の歴史を持つ古代湖、琵琶湖
その湖底に降り積もる泥から湖水に揺らめき暮らす生命からたくさんのエネルギーを吸収して
ゆらりゆらりと息づく水草
その水草を分けて頂き灰にしてガラスの中に溶け込ませたらなんとも美しく優しい琵琶湖色に
こうして2020年 琵琶湖の水草を使い発色させた色ガラス
「琵琶湖彩」が誕生しました
水面を表す様なゆらぎのある形や光で輝く泡
一つとして同じものはなく
吹きガラスならではのたおやかな形が魅力

Lake Biwa, an ancient lake with a history of over 4 million years
Absorbing a lot of energy from the life that lives shimmering in the lake water from the mud that piles up at the bottom of the lake
The waterweeds that sway and live in the lake water
We were given a portion of these waterweeds and turned them into ash, which we dissolved into the glass to create the beautiful and gentle color of Lake Biwa.
Thus, in 2020, “Biwako-sai,” colored glass made from the waterweeds of Lake Biwa, was born.
The shimmering shape like the surface of the water and the bubbles shining in the light
No two pieces are alike.
The graceful shapes unique to blown glass are appealing.
Versatile for use with fruits, jellies, salads, small bowls, etc.
It is also wonderful to use it as a vase that floats on water.
Because of the handmade nature of this product, there may be slight individual differences in the texture and size of the glass.
Please be aware that there may be slight variations in the texture and size of the glass due to the handmade nature of the product.
This product is not heat-resistant glass.
Please avoid using a microwave oven, dishwasher, or boiling water.
