This rice bowl feels like an embodiment of Iguchi’s own words.

Simplicity, at its core, is beauty.

Blending Japanese and Western sensibilities, it pairs effortlessly with a variety of tableware and is highly versatile for everyday use.

Slightly smaller in size, it fits comfortably within both hands.
Beyond a rice bowl, it can also be enjoyed freely as a small bowl, for yogurt, or even as a teacup — without defining its use too strictly.

Attention

Darker beverages or foods may more easily stain the fine crackles (crazing) in the glaze.
Before first use, we recommend soaking the piece in water or performing a simple sealing treatment (medome) to help prevent staining.

Artist

Takumi Iguchi

2022 – Studied tea culture and ceramics in his previous profession and began creating his own works.
2024 – Established his studio in Osaka and officially launched his career as a ceramic artist.

With wide-ranging interests including ceramics, printmaking, and piano, Iguchi’s work reflects both his versatility and gentle character, expressing the warmth and sincerity of handcraft.
