1999年 兵庫県丹波篠山市にて「辰巳窯」として独立
2006年 大阪府堺市に工房を移し現在に至る
独創性が確立した今もなお釉薬や様々な原料を駆使し、
酸化焼成による焼き上がりの変化を愉しんでいる作り手

A captivating piece featuring kannyū crackle patterns that arc like a crescent moon, with petal-like forms softly bleeding and floating across the surface in a luminous glaze.

Ken Sakamoto
1993 – Studied under Nobumizu Ichino II, a master of Tamba ware.
1999 – Established his kiln, Tatsumi-gama, in Tamba-Sasayama, Hyogo.
2006 – Relocated his studio to Sakai, Osaka, where he continues to work today.
Even after establishing his distinctive style, Sakamoto continues to explore glazes and raw materials, embracing the subtle transformations that occur through oxidation firing.
